Is Ultimate Metalworks Licensed and Insured?

When hiring a contractor to perform structural work on your property, verifying their licensing and insurance is the most important step you can take to protect yourself and your home. The short answer is yes, absolutely. Ultimate Metalworks is a fully licensed North Carolina contractor and carries full general liability insurance.

We understand that allowing contractors onto your property requires a significant amount of trust. Our full general liability insurance policy protects you, your family, and your property in the unlikely event of an accident or unexpected damage during the installation process. If an uninsured contractor damages your home or gets injured on your property, you as the homeowner could be held financially liable. By choosing Ultimate Metalworks, you have complete peace of mind knowing that you are fully protected from start to finish.

Beyond standard licensing and insurance, owner Chris Roberts holds a credential that sets Ultimate Metalworks apart from nearly every other fabrication shop in the Raleigh area: the 6G AWS (American Welding Society) Certification. This is widely considered the highest and most rigorous standard of welding qualification available in the industry. It requires the welder to perform structurally flawless welds on a pipe fixed at a 45-degree angle, forcing them to weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions without moving the material.

Why does this matter for your residential project? It means that the person fabricating your custom handrail, heavy-duty driveway gate, or structural floating staircase has proven their ability to create perfect, industrial-strength welds under the most difficult conditions imaginable. You aren't getting a hobbyist or an uncertified subcontractor; you are getting a proven master of the trade.

Furthermore, Ultimate Metalworks operates on an owner-operated model. Chris Roberts personally oversees every aspect of your project, from the initial free estimate and design consultation to the shop fabrication and final on-site installation. We do not use subcontractors. When you hire us, you know exactly who is showing up at your home, and you know they possess the highest level of licensing, insurance, and technical certification available. We are happy to provide our insurance and certification documentation upon request during your free estimate.
